Following the implementation of an administrative delay on any potential developments, the City of Springfield and City Utilities will host two public engagement sessions in August and September to discuss the topic of potential data center development in Springfield with residents, stakeholders, and the broader Springfield community.
The City of Springfield and City Utilities would like to make STC members and stakeholders aware of these opportunities to learn, ask questions and participate in shaping Springfield’s vision for its future.
Those who would like to share their feedback via email are directed to use the city@springfieldmo.gov email address.
The sessions are scheduled for:
5:30-7:30 p.m., Aug. 27 at the DoubleTree by Hilton, 2431 N. Glenstone Ave.
4:30-6:30 p.m., Sept. 1 at the Library Center’s Hatch Auditorium, 4653 S. Campbell Ave.
The sessions are specifically designed to give residents an opportunity to share their vision for the future of the community, and provide input to city officials as a new, long-term policy framework is being considered.
