David Stotelmyer III, CPA - Partner / Audit
David brings to FORVIS more than 17 years of experience providing accounting and audit services to several industries including: financial services, technology, agricultural, retail, construction, and manufacturing and distribution. He currently focuses on working with financial institutions and private equity portfolio companies.
He has overseen group audits for U.S. companies with domestic and international subsidiaries. Currently, he serves as the assistant accounting and auditing director for the Southern Missouri practice, which includes offices in Springfield, Joplin, and Branson. He also provides concurring review of audits, attestation, reviews and compilation engagements as well as technical support on accounting and auditing issues.
David’s professional experience includes the implementation of new accounting standards, which involves developing a firmwide audit approach for the new standards and developing internal guidance. He served two and a half years as a national accounting and auditing assistant director in the firm’s National Office, where he consulted about key audit and accounting issues including business combinations and stock-based compensation arrangements, researched technical questions and helped implement new professional standards and develop resources. He also was involved in teaching and developing training content for firmwide trainings.
He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants and Missouri Society of CPAs.
David is a 2004 graduate of University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, with a B.S.B.A. degree in accounting and a 2005 graduate with an M.Acc. degree.
Kyle Miller, CPA - Director / Audit
A member of FORVIS’ Commercial Products Practice, Kyle has more than 10 years of experience providing a variety of audit and consulting services to FORVIS clients. He has experience working with clients in the technology, retail, construction, commercial service, and manufacturing and distribution industries. He has worked with both private-equity and family-owned businesses.
Kyle is involved in firm recruiting efforts and in firm initiatives to address changes in audit approach, implementation of new accounting and auditing standards, and use of technology in audits.
He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Missouri Society of CPAs.
Kyle serves as board president for Champions Committed to Kids, a program that pairs youth battling illness with local high school and college athletic teams.
He is a 2011 cum laude graduate of Missouri State University, Springfield, with a B.S. degree in accounting and administrative management and a 2012 graduate with an M.B.A. degree.
