Springfield Tech Week & STC Squared Tech Conference 2026 Recap

A Record‑Setting Conference, Community‑Powered Tech Week, and Statewide Recognition

Springfield Tech Council wrapped up an impactful week of learning, connection, and celebration with our fifth annual STC Squared 2026 and the second annual Springfield Tech Week. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make it such a success.

With 750 people registered and our largest speaker lineup to date, STC Squared once again reflected the continued growth, engagement, and support within our regional tech ecosystem. From the speakers and sponsors to the conversations happening throughout the Exhibitor Hall, the conference was made possible by people who showed up to learn, connect, and support one another. Thank you for being part of it.

STC Squared 2026: A Flagship Moment for the Region

STC Squared remains the flagship event of Springfield Tech Week and a cornerstone of STC’s mission to elevate technology in the Ozarks. The conference opened with a welcome with Mayor Jeff Schrag from the City of Springfield, reinforcing the importance of technology, innovation, and workforce development to the region as a whole.

This year’s conference featured:

  • A diverse lineup of sessions spanning AI, cybersecurity, leadership, development, infrastructure, and emerging technologies

  • Strong engagement across all experience levels — from early‑career professionals to executives and IT leaders

  • A vibrant Exhibitor Hall that fostered meaningful conversations between attendees, local companies, and national technology partners

The energy throughout the day underscored just how connected and invested our tech community has become.

Springfield Tech Week 2026: Community‑Powered by Design

Beyond the conference, Springfield Tech Week brought together 20 partner‑hosted events across the community throughout the week. These events included trainings, competitions, tours, networking opportunities, meetups, and plenty of fun.

What makes Tech Week special is that it’s truly community‑powered. While STC serves as the coordinator, the events themselves are created, hosted, and led by local organizations who believe in strengthening Springfield’s tech ecosystem. This collaborative approach continues to be one of Tech Week’s greatest strengths.

Statewide Recognition & STC’s 5th Anniversary Celebration

Springfield Tech Week concluded with STC’s 5th Anniversary Celebration, bringing the community together to reflect on the organization’s growth and the continued momentum of the region’s tech ecosystem.

It was during this celebration that Springfield Tech Week received statewide recognition through Missouri House Resolution 4330, presented by State Representative Betsy Fogle. The resolution recognizes Springfield Tech Week and acknowledges the role of the Springfield Tech Council in advancing innovation, workforce development, and economic growth across Missouri.

Sharing this moment with our community, surrounded by the people, partners, and organizations helping shape the future of technology in the region, made the recognition especially meaningful. It served as a reminder that the work happening locally is having impact well beyond Springfield. The celebration also included recognition of STC’s founding board members, whose early leadership and vision helped establish the organization and lay the groundwork for the community it has become today.

The evening also highlighted what comes next. As part of the celebration, winners of the inaugural Springfield Vibeathon, hosted by Codefi during Tech Week, were announced publicly, showcasing the creativity, collaboration, and forward‑thinking ideas emerging from our region’s builders and innovators.

Together, the anniversary, the House Resolution, and the Vibeathon recognition captured the spirit of the week: celebrating how far the community has come while continuing to invest in what’s ahead. It affirms what many in our community already know: the work happening here matters, both locally and statewide.
