STC Announces Board Leadership Transition and Upcoming Board Opportunities
As Springfield Tech Council continues to grow and evolve, we are pleased to share several Board leadership transitions and recognize directors whose service has helped shape the organization.
Following his service as Board Chair, Dan Watson has transitioned to the role of Immediate Past Chair, where he will continue to provide guidance and support to the Board of Directors and remain an active board member. Under Dan's leadership over the past five years, Springfield Tech Council experienced a period of significant growth and organizational development. His leadership helped strengthen STC’s impact, expand community engagement, and build a strong foundation for future success. The Board is grateful for his dedication and continued service.

As part of this transition, Sherry Coker has moved out of Director Emeritus status to serve as Chair of the Board on an interim basis. A founding board member of Springfield Tech Council, Sherry brings valuable leadership experience and deep organizational knowledge to the role as the Board continues its work on strategic priorities and governance initiatives.
The Board also welcomes Morgan Chin into the role of Vice Chair, joining Chair Sherry Coker, Treasurer Katie Wendt, and Secretary Kelly Robertson on the organization’s officer team. The Board also recognizes Bob Graham for his years of service as Treasurer and thanks him for helping support a smooth transition of Treasurer responsibilities over the past year.
In addition, we extend our sincere appreciation to three directors whose board service has recently concluded:
Heather Noggle, who served four years on the Board of Directors, including service as Vice Chair
Nathan Barnes, who completed three years of board service
Cheryl Hertel, who completed three years of board service
Their time, expertise, and commitment have helped advance the Springfield Tech Council's mission and strengthen the region's technology community. The Board is grateful for the many ways they have shared their leadership, professional expertise, and volunteer service in support of the organization.
As Springfield Tech Council prepares to welcome new board members, the organization is also focused on strengthening the volunteer experience and supporting engagement across committees and leadership roles.
